Carol Fondé
grew up on the water of Long Island and began photographing the land and seascape
at the age of 7. She graduated with honors from The Rochester Institute of
Technology and received The Ford Foundation Fellowship For The Visual Arts
to attend Indiana University where she received her Master of Fine Arts in
photography.
She has lived and worked as a professional photographer and Master Color Printer
in New York City since 1980. Carol is recognized across the United States
as a master in the field of color reproduction. Her clients include Richard
Avedon, Bruce Davidson, Hiro and Brigitte LaCombe. Since 1985 Carol has taught
color at The Cooper Union School of Art, The International Center of Photography,
The School of Visual Arts and The Maine Photographic Workshops. She is currently
teaching at Parson's School of Design.
Her photography is often used to support The Nature Conservancy Program. Carol has been shown in numerous galleries including SoHo Triad, Edward Carter Gallery, Sotheby's, The Heckscher Museum and The Intermedia Arts Center.
